2017 Chef Highlight Series

Join us in experiencing delectable fare prepared by the best chefs in the region!  This year, the Asheville Wine & Food Festival brings you the Chef Highlight Series to introduce you to ten of the most talented as they give demonstrations of their renown gourmet dishes.  Keep up this season as these gourmet cooks give you tips and information straight from their kitchens and careers.

We are looking for local individuals, as well as regionally or nationally-known chefs, with culinary talent to present 30-minute demonstrations during the Festival (Fri. & Sat.)  Interested chefs may select their own recipe, preferably something worldly that can be shared in sample form with visitors. Featured chefs are responsible for describing their recipe and cooking techniques to the visitors and providing food supplies to complete the recipes. Cook-top burners are provided.

In return for your participation, we will promote your appearance (with name and business included) in our printed Festival program and on our web site.  You will also have the ability to distribute printed materials (business cards, pamphlets, etc.) advertising your business during your demonstration. A $400 fee will reserve the Lucky Seven and get you scheduled to participate.

Here's the LUCKY SEVEN...The Chef Highlight Series gives each participant
1. One full week of social media distribution through all channels.
2. One full profile on festival program app with external links to chef sites.
3. One week booking with related airtime in the (a) VIP Tent for Downtown Live After Five - or - (b) WLOS Carolina Kitchen segment.
4. Segment inclusion in articles released to over 50 media outlets leading up to event.

About Highland Brewing Company:
"We want to be the brewery of choice in the Southeast. To achieve that goal, we believe it takes more than great beer. With each new hire, it doesn't take long to learn Oscar's mantra: Honesty, integrity and respect. Nothing about beer, not specifically. But the larger ideals that lead to great beer - caring about how it's made, caring for the people involved, from the grain farmer to the mom at the grocery store. Operating within these lines gives rise to a culture around a product. A culture that is sustainable for our employees, our customers and our environment."
